Sounds very similar to Australia.. all of the good places involve shite that may well kill you, though we do have so called roads to most places.

Any sane person would stay away, but you make it sound very appealing.

It looks like Russia needs to invest heavily on transportation hubs and transport corridors. Which make me think why they put their reserves on foreign jurisdictions.

To be fair, new roads and freeways are being constructed all the time, very modern and efficient. Most of those roads are built where they are needed most, in areas with more industries, population density, and therefore more use. That is not only central parts of the country, but the Far East as well. Many of natural areas have the status of nature reserves, and the law bans any major construction on those territories, and maybe that's one of the reasons that prevents new roads from being built in those areas of natural beauty.
